OUR MINISTRIES

All our ministries are structured with the purpose of helping each person take the next step on their journey of faith in Christ.  Wherever you are on that journey, we welcome you to join us!

Outreach

We strive to build intentional connections within the network of relationships in our community.  We partner with other organizations that work for the good of our city (Jeremiah 29:7), and our vision is to communicate the Good News of Christ in both word and deed (Matthew 28:19-20).  See a list of partners on the lower right column!

Welcome and Care

Like the early Christians, we strive to create an atmosphere of hospitality and welcome (Acts 2:42-47).  We are intentional about greeting and connecting with each person so that you know you belong!  We host monthly potluck dinners so that we can get to know each other better, and we reach out with practical acts of kindness when members and friends are experiencing hard times.

Worship

Our central purpose is to gather together to glorify God by singing His praises (Psalm 96:1-6), hearing from His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and experiencing Him in the Sacraments of Baptism (Galatians 3:26-27) and Holy Communion (John 6:50-51).  We involve congregation members in the music, Scripture reading, prayer, technical support, and other facets of the worship experience!

Growth

The Apostle Peter challenges his readers to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).  We encourage this growth through both traditional Sunday school classes for all ages, and also in-home, topically-oriented small groups that meet during the week throughout the year.

Service

Jesus taught that true greatness is found in service (Mark 10:42-45).  Here at Stoneridge we model Jesus' ethos of servant leadership by partnering together to build up the church and its ministry.  Our leadership structure allows us to empower as many people as possible to use their unique gifts in service to God and their neighbors.
